Evansdale Fire Rescue
has been providing Emergency Medical Care to our citizens
since the Department was first founded. Our care has
evolved from the early years of "load and go",
to offering quality, advanced pre-hospital treatment
to all our patients.
We provide two fully staffed advanced care Ambulances
and have mutual aid agreements with surrounding services,
including helicopter transport from Covenant Medical
Center in Waterloo, as the needs arise.
Persons interested in entering the EMS field and qualify
for membership on our Department are encouraged to apply.
Upon successful completion of a probationary period,
members are sent to accredited adult education facilities
where they receive training for certification as EMT-Basic,
EMT-Intermediate, EMT-Paramedic and EMT-Paramedic Specialist.
Our EMS division is coordinated by Paramedic Specialist
Gerald "Jerry" Dolf who oversees the continuing
education and certifications of all members and is under
the administrative section supervised by Assistant Chief
Rick Reuter. |
